It's a Hamburger!!!

We found out that our new little baby is a girl. The ultrasound tech told us that he will either find a turtle or a hamburger. He said it was a hamburger. I am just excited that everything looked good and we have a healthy baby. Trevor thinks we have a name picked out, but I want to keep our options open.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We were so excited this morning when we saw the snow sticking to the ground. By the time Trevor got home from work there was about 4 inches. Maddyn was a little scared to play in it at first but loved throwing snow balls after a while. We even built a snowman !!! It doesnt have a face or arms yet but we will get there tomorrow.

Thanksgiving.

What an adventure Thanksgiving was. My parents came from Oregon to meet us in Salt Lake City. We rented a house so that we could make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Marcus came with his girlfriend Tamera. They announced to us the first night at dinner that they are engaged and will be getting married in Hawaii. We are very pumped about the venue!!! Maddyn absolutely loved hanging out with these two...they had enough energy for her.

The next day we had Trevors parents, Grandma, and Sister's family over for Thanksgiving dinner. My mom did most of the work and it was a fabulous dinner. Maddyn enjoyed playing with her cousins and we enjoyed the company.

On Black Friday, we didn't do much shopping. My mom and I went to Toys R Us early and got the things we needed for Maddyn. Later in the day we went to the mall and Maddyn got to see Santa. She was really excited until she realized she had to sit on his lap without me. That is when she cried and wanted to get off. Tamera and I really wanted to see New Moon so our guys were really nice and went with us. Trevor said there was a lot of staring at each other in the movie.

On Saturday we spent most of the morning trying to save Maddyn from the car. She was helping Trevor clean the car when she locked herself in. Trevor was trying to warm up the car also so it was running. We tried for a half hour to get her to push the unlock button, but all she wanted to do was dance to the music and push every other button in the car. Finally, we called the police and they came along with the fire engine with their lights on. They were able to open the car with a wedge, blood pressure cuff, and a stick. They were our hero's. The rest of the day we just hung out. That night we went to temple square to look at the lights. It was really pretty and my families first time to temple square. It was a great vacation and we enjoyed our family.

What we are up to these days.

Well since I haven't posted in so long I thought I better give an update on what is going on. Maddyn is such a little girl now. Nothing about her is a baby. She loves putting makeup on, wearing all of moms jewelry, coloring whatever she can, brushing her "teef", and destroying the house. We love her so much and she keeps us extra busy. She can say so many words and they are so adorable. I will have to do a video of all the words she can say. She likes to ride her bike and play under any sink in the house. Whenever we can't fine something we just go look under the sinks in the bathrooms and it is usually there. Her hair is just past her shoulder blades, but you can't tell in any picture because it is so curly it curls up past her shoulders. She never lets me comb it so it is always in her face. She is now opening doors so nothing is safe.

I am about 18 weeks along with baby #2. We went in a couple weeks ago for a doctors appointment and an ultrasound. The doc could only get a clear pic of the back so we weren't able to tell. Our 20 week ultrasound is on the 17th so we are crossing our fingers we will be able to tell. We will be sure to let everyone know as soon as we know.

Halloween

Oh my goodness. I can't believe it is almost Christmas and I am now posting about Halloween. Oh Well. Maddyn was dressed as Minnie Mouse if you couldn't tell. She has a Minnie doll that she can not live without. She calls her Ninnie. She wouldn't wear the ears though. This is a picture I snapped before she ripped them off.

The day was filled with lots of excitment. We first went to the carnival that the local college puts on. Maddyn was not sure what to do with the games, but she sure enjoyed the prizes she earned.
We then went to Trevor's school carnival. Trevor had to work a booth so Maddyn and I walked the cake walk, fished for prizes, plucked the ducks out of water, and ate corn dogs while we waited. She then went to help dad at his booth. We also got to be in the costume parade. I am sure Maddyn would have won if she would have worn her ears, but I think they thought she was just another pricess.

Later that night we went Trick or Treating. Maddyn thought this was the best. She would just say please when she got to the door. She would not talk, smile or say thank you. As soon as we got close to the car she would jump up and down and say candy. She was so excited to show dad her piece of candy. We didn't need a bag to put the candy in because she wanted to eat every piece as she got it.

I love it!!!

I was thinking yesterday how nice it is to have Maddyn around. These are the things I will never happen with her around.

1. Forget to put my shoes on before I leave the house(she is putting shoes on me all day long. )
2. Have a door left open. (she closes the doors as soon as she comes inside)
3. Have trash on the floor (she loves putting trash in the garbage. So far we have only seen her put real garbage in there.)
4. 5 minutes without laughing (she is constantly making us laugh with her new tricks.)

We love her so much and she amazes us everyday.

Its Official!!!

Baby # 2 is on the way!!!!

We are 12 weeks along and are due May 5. We are really excited. I was quite sick for a while and even went to the hospital once for a bad case of food poisening. Other than that baby is great. The baby is really active. You can see in pic #1 the baby is right side up and 15 seconds later is upside down. The baby is moving like crazy. Sometimes I swear I can feel it move. We wont find out what we are having until Christmas, unless I can talk the doctor into looking really close next visit. Maddyn is really excited and is always wanting to kiss my belly and say baby. She will be a great help I know it.

18 months!!!

Maddyn turned 18 months yesterday. I cant believe how time flies. She is such a big girls. She does so many tricks. She can understand all instructions and follows most when she wants to. She can only fluently say Mama Dada and more. She says other words but not consistently. She loves playing outside and throws a fit when she has to come in. She loves playing with friends and any animal that will let her. We love having her around and she always good for a laugh.

Labor Day

We didn't go out of town for labor day. We stayed and got caught up on things. On Monday we went out with Trevors parents and got poles for the coral they are repairing. Maddyn, TD, and I made lunch and played in the back of the truck while they worked. Maddyn wouldn't go to far from the boys because she was worried about them. She loved riding in the back of the truck or sticking her head out the window like a dog. She is getting so big.

FUN

So we havnt done much since school started up. Trevor is back to work and doing great. I am still working, and having fun with Maddyn during the day. Maddyn has made a couple freiends. They are boys that are 5 years older than her. They come and ask if they can play everyday. Maddyn loves playing with them and thinks she is their age.

She also loves to take every pair of my shoes out of the closet and wear them into the living room. She is really good at running in my heals. She also loves her orane work goggles

Any time she finds glasses she wants to put them on. These are Trevors old ones.

She is really into putting things on her head. She will wear Trevors hats around the house a lot.

Her new favorite place to play is our bed. She will play on there for hours. This is how I found her after a while when I didn't hear her talking. I thought I would find her asleep. NOPE! She took a bag of crackers and stepped on them until they were all broken up in the bed.

Another New Trick

Grandma, you better close your eyes for the next two videos. Maddyn is getting really brave.

Fair

We went to the Monticello fair today. Maddyn jumped on the jump house castle and went down the huge slide. She was a little afraid of both. She also petted the pigs and sheep. Her favorite part of the day was either running through the kitchen at the restraunt or playing at the park. She climbed up to the slide all by herself and went down without any help.

After the fair, we came home and made 14 loafs of zuchini bread fresh from Papa's garden!!! Maddyn was a great help.

Lake Trip

We got to make our annual lake trip to Delta. It was fun to get down there again. Maddyn was kind of a party pooper. She refused to touch the sand and if she got any in her shoe she would cry. She also would not touch the water (which is weird because she is like a fish). Oh well, we had a blast and got to see our good friends for the weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Keli and family were greatly missed :( Maybe next year huh.

House

Has anyone ever driven by a house they used to own and been really sad. This happened to us last weekend. I am sure this is how everyone feels, but we were really sad about the yard. The first picture is what it looks like now, and the second and third one are what it looked like in May of 2008. Trevor loved that yard and you could tell by the lack of brown spots and dandilions. Oh well, we are just grateful we are still not paying for it :)
P.S. Trevor would have never allowed there to be sticks in the gutter and weeds on the road:)

New trick

Maddyn now wants to be on the counter when we are in the bathroom. She especially loves to shave with Daddy. She gets cream all over her so she has to get in the shower too.

Oregon Trip

The last part of July we went to Oregon to visit. While there, we got to see our beautiful cousin Kate. She was so much fun to play with. We also got to visit with our cousin Mckena and have a BBQ. Grandma and Grandpas house was so much fun. Ike was a blast to play with.

Then Daddy went to hike Mt. Shasta. It was a great experience. He got altitude sickness and everything. It is the 2nd largest volcanic mountain in the US (14,600 ft). It took them two days to hike the mountain. Dad was very tired when he got down.
