It's a Hamburger!!!

We found out that our new little baby is a girl. The ultrasound tech told us that he will either find a turtle or a hamburger. He said it was a hamburger. I am just excited that everything looked good and we have a healthy baby. Trevor thinks we have a name picked out, but I want to keep our options open.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We were so excited this morning when we saw the snow sticking to the ground. By the time Trevor got home from work there was about 4 inches. Maddyn was a little scared to play in it at first but loved throwing snow balls after a while. We even built a snowman !!! It doesnt have a face or arms yet but we will get there tomorrow.

Thanksgiving.

What an adventure Thanksgiving was. My parents came from Oregon to meet us in Salt Lake City. We rented a house so that we could make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Marcus came with his girlfriend Tamera. They announced to us the first night at dinner that they are engaged and will be getting married in Hawaii. We are very pumped about the venue!!! Maddyn absolutely loved hanging out with these two...they had enough energy for her.

The next day we had Trevors parents, Grandma, and Sister's family over for Thanksgiving dinner. My mom did most of the work and it was a fabulous dinner. Maddyn enjoyed playing with her cousins and we enjoyed the company.

On Black Friday, we didn't do much shopping. My mom and I went to Toys R Us early and got the things we needed for Maddyn. Later in the day we went to the mall and Maddyn got to see Santa. She was really excited until she realized she had to sit on his lap without me. That is when she cried and wanted to get off. Tamera and I really wanted to see New Moon so our guys were really nice and went with us. Trevor said there was a lot of staring at each other in the movie.

On Saturday we spent most of the morning trying to save Maddyn from the car. She was helping Trevor clean the car when she locked herself in. Trevor was trying to warm up the car also so it was running. We tried for a half hour to get her to push the unlock button, but all she wanted to do was dance to the music and push every other button in the car. Finally, we called the police and they came along with the fire engine with their lights on. They were able to open the car with a wedge, blood pressure cuff, and a stick. They were our hero's. The rest of the day we just hung out. That night we went to temple square to look at the lights. It was really pretty and my families first time to temple square. It was a great vacation and we enjoyed our family.

What we are up to these days.

Well since I haven't posted in so long I thought I better give an update on what is going on. Maddyn is such a little girl now. Nothing about her is a baby. She loves putting makeup on, wearing all of moms jewelry, coloring whatever she can, brushing her "teef", and destroying the house. We love her so much and she keeps us extra busy. She can say so many words and they are so adorable. I will have to do a video of all the words she can say. She likes to ride her bike and play under any sink in the house. Whenever we can't fine something we just go look under the sinks in the bathrooms and it is usually there. Her hair is just past her shoulder blades, but you can't tell in any picture because it is so curly it curls up past her shoulders. She never lets me comb it so it is always in her face. She is now opening doors so nothing is safe.

I am about 18 weeks along with baby #2. We went in a couple weeks ago for a doctors appointment and an ultrasound. The doc could only get a clear pic of the back so we weren't able to tell. Our 20 week ultrasound is on the 17th so we are crossing our fingers we will be able to tell. We will be sure to let everyone know as soon as we know.

Halloween

Oh my goodness. I can't believe it is almost Christmas and I am now posting about Halloween. Oh Well. Maddyn was dressed as Minnie Mouse if you couldn't tell. She has a Minnie doll that she can not live without. She calls her Ninnie. She wouldn't wear the ears though. This is a picture I snapped before she ripped them off.

The day was filled with lots of excitment. We first went to the carnival that the local college puts on. Maddyn was not sure what to do with the games, but she sure enjoyed the prizes she earned.
We then went to Trevor's school carnival. Trevor had to work a booth so Maddyn and I walked the cake walk, fished for prizes, plucked the ducks out of water, and ate corn dogs while we waited. She then went to help dad at his booth. We also got to be in the costume parade. I am sure Maddyn would have won if she would have worn her ears, but I think they thought she was just another pricess.

Later that night we went Trick or Treating. Maddyn thought this was the best. She would just say please when she got to the door. She would not talk, smile or say thank you. As soon as we got close to the car she would jump up and down and say candy. She was so excited to show dad her piece of candy. We didn't need a bag to put the candy in because she wanted to eat every piece as she got it.
