Riding a new bike

Maddyn got a new bike from a guy Steve works with. It came with a pretty purple helmet. We went out and puchased training wheels to see if she would ride it. First time on the bike she could peddle around. Maddyn learns so quickly. She will ask everyday to "ride peddles". She loves to show us how she can do it. She has fallen over a couple times and will just jump right back on. It is so cute.

Grandma

My mom came to visit for a week in August. It was a blast. Maddyn loved sleeping with grandma at night and then showing her all of her tricks during the day. We also enjoyed all of her help! We were in the process of moving into Grammy and Papa's house so we can take care of it while they are away. My mom packed all the boxes and helped me paint the girls cute new bathroom. We miss her very much and can't wait to see her in november.

4 months old!!!

Last month in April, Zoey turned 4 months. She is getting so big to us. She was 12 lbs and 23 inches. She is only in the 12 percentile, but she is sure growing to us. She is just starting to take a bottle. It was a huge step for her to take a bottle. She has also discovered her thumb and will suck on that thing to no end. Zoey goes by the nicknames Zoey bug, Zo bug, Zoey bugga, bug, bugga, and sweetie pie. She is the most amazing baby ever!!!! She sleeps 12 hours at night and has done that since she was 2 months old. She will take 3 huge naps during the day and hardly ever cries. If she cries I KNOW something is wrong. She is so patient with Maddyn who wants to help with everything. Maddyn is very concerned about Zoey's well being at all times and will have a heart attack if she thinks something is wrong with Zoey. Zoey can roll over from her back to her belly and is trying to sit up. She is also loving oatmeal. She swallowed it the first time she tried it. We love Zo bug and dont know what we would do without her!

Best decision Ever!!!

I cut Maddyn's hair. It has been a huge fight everyday to brush the tangles out of her hair. Then when she takes a nap it gets all tangled again. I have not wanted to cut it because she had such cute curls and I knew they would not be there if I cut it. But since I have cut it, I have been able to brush it in one minute without Maddyn screaming and running through the house yelling NOOOOOO. It has been the best decision ever to cut off that baby hair!

Blessing

We blessed Zoey in July. She was so cute and adorable. Candice my sister in law also took a bunch of darling pictures of the girls.

Another surgery

The day after we got back from Oregon I went in for another surgery. The doctor was not able to get out the placenta the first two times, so he had to go back in so I would stop bleeding. It was only a day surgery and I was able to go home afterward. The nurse had trouble finding a vein and totally ripped my arm up again. The surgery was successful and I feel MUCH better now. I think I am done with all of that for a while.

Oregon Trip

At the end of June, we packed up the whole family and drove to Oregon so we could introduce Zoey to the whole family. It took us 16 hours. We drove through the night and got there at 4:00 a.m. It was a great decision to do that because the girls slept most of the way. We had so much fun cleaning out our parents attic, playing with the ducks, swimming, and taking family pictures. Maddyn absolutely loved playing with cousin "cake".

For the past two days, I have had a streak of bad luck. It is actually kind of comical. It started Wednesday night when Zoey slept 9 hours straight, but Maddyn was up all night throwing up spaghettio's (which I found out today were recalled). Then the next morning I changed Zoey's diaper on my lap and she pooped ALL over me. I am talking sprayed me! Then a few hours later, Maddyn picked up Zoey by herself and threw her back down on the ground all before I could get there from 4 feet away. Zoey was shaken up but was OK and the doctor said she was fine. 20 minutes after that Maddyn jumped off the couch and bit her lip and got a fat lip. 30 minutes after that, Trevor called and said he had a dead battery in his car. This morning I woke up to do my hair and my straightener I have had for years is busted :( Then Trevor tells me his car battery died again. Then one hour later I go to the doctor and he tells me I might have to have surgery again :( I hope this all ends real soon...I don't know if I can keep laughing it off much longer :)

2 months stats

At Zoey's two month check up she was 9 lbs 11 ounces and 23 inches. She is in the 50th percentile on height and weight. She has caught right up to where she needs to be!!! She is really healthy and is on a great track. I, on the other hand, still have issues that I hope will clear up soon without too many more surgeries :(

2 Months and more summer fun

Zoey is already 2 months old. We dont have her doctor appointment until tomorrow so I will post her stats then. She has rolled over a few times from belly to back, but I can't get it on video. She is getting much more smiley and giggling. We love it so much. She is finally growing out of her newborn clothes and is in size one diapers this week. If I feed her at 10:00 p.m. she will usually sleep until 6:00 a.m. That is if her thrush isn't bothering her. She was on medication for her thrush for 14 days and the day we got off of it the thrush came back. She wants to nurse every 2 minutes when she has it. She really hates a bottle. I have no idea what I am going to do when I go back to work. She is such a good baby and puts up with Maddyn so well. The other day, Maddyn picked her up on the bed and almost dropped her off. Zoey just sat there so content and didn't even cry. Maddyn likes to burp her and wipe her face with the burp rag often. Her kisses are a little rough sometimes too, but Maddyn just loves her. She only gets jealous when Grammy holds her because she wants Grammy all to herself.

This week, the relief society went down south for some fun. Maddyn loved playing in the water and catching tadpoles. She has a friend that she has to know where he is at all times and follow him and his older brother around. They are so cute together.

I have also started running to get into shape. Our neighbor gave us this stroller so this is how we go running now. It is really hard to push them up hills. Maddyn wants to jump out most of the time.

Summer Break!!

We decided to change Maddyn's bed into a toddler bed. She has loved it so far. One nap down! We will see how it goes at night time AHHHH.

Zoey is growing so big. She can use her legs and stand in your lap, hold her head up and if she weighed a little more she would fit into the bumbo chair. Last night she slept 8.5 hours!!! I can't believe what a good baby she is. She is starting to smile and giggle when daddy gets her to. We love her so much. Maddyn is still doing good with her and isn't getting too jelous.

Trevor has been home for a week now!!! We are loving every minute of it. I dont go back from maternity leave until July so we are taking advantage. We have tried to do something little each day. We took one of Maddyn's friends up the mountain and had a picnic. They loved it.

This is the result of us playing hard. Maddyn got a bug stuck in her shirt and bit her a bunch of times.
