Arizona

I cant figure out how to get these to the bottom so here are the Zoo pics discussed below.

Last week, I went to Arizona with some friends to go the the Phoenix Time Out for Women. This was the most amazing conference. I learned so much and am going to go to it every year now. The girls I went with are so amazing and inspirational. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the conference

"How do you have a successful marriage? Lower your standards"- Marjorie Hinckley

"Get out of the business of comparison, you will always find someone fatter, skinnier, richer or poorer than you" - Virginia Hinckley
"Heaven will not be Heavenly if we have not chosen to be Heavenly" Brad Wilcox
"Jesus does not make up the difference, He makes all the difference" Brad Wilcox

After the conference, Grammy and Papa brought the girls down and picked me up in Phoenix. We had so much fun for a whole week. It was kind of rainy and cold so we didn't swim much, but we found a lot to do. We first went to Chuck E Cheese. We just played the games and then went somewhere else to eat. They put a number on everyone as they come in so that you leave with the right children. So COOL. Maddyn loved playing the games and getting tickets to buy her bracelets.

We also went to this old time city where they did an amazing stunt show. Maddyn got to ride on a train and visit some fun shops.

We also went to a local elementary schools carnival where maddyn continually went on the bouncy slide over and over. She could not understand the concept of waiting in line.

Then we went to the Zoo. This was a perfect zoo for little kids. It was small and compact so Maddyn didn't have to walk too far to see the animals. She loved it. I especially loved the llamas ;)

Halloween project

I totally stole this from someone else. But it was so cute I couldn't help myself. It was suppose to be our family home evening project, but I ended up doing it while Trevor got the monsters ready for bed.

Picnic

Maddyn's favorite fall activity is having a picnic. She would gather everything she could possibly find and put it in her shopping cart. Then she would wheel it out to the front lawn and lay it all out. She would bring a blanket for everyone to enjoy (even minnie). She would also get snack and drinks. She wanted me and Zobug to sit out there with her all day. I could not get her to come inside for the life of me. Everynight we had to go gather her picnic supplies so it wouldn't get wet. Now since the weather is cold, she has moved on to indoor picnics and her supplies is carried around in my suitcase. She has to have the suitcase by her bed at night or she FREAKS out. Some items included in her suitcase are, slippers, wipes, diapers, a plunger, cheese (3 days out of the fridge), and her hair detangle spray. I will post pictures of this soon.

Camping

About a month ago we decided to go camping with our friends Natalie and Jesse. Maddyn we knew would have a blast. We were a little worried about Zobug, but she did fabulous. We took the camper for the girls so they would not get cold. We had great food and Maddyn made friends with Natalie and the dirt. She managed to get her hands dirty 3 seconds after washing them everytime. We even brought her 4 wheeler so she could do some real off roading. We had so much fun.

Riding a new bike

Maddyn got a new bike from a guy Steve works with. It came with a pretty purple helmet. We went out and puchased training wheels to see if she would ride it. First time on the bike she could peddle around. Maddyn learns so quickly. She will ask everyday to "ride peddles". She loves to show us how she can do it. She has fallen over a couple times and will just jump right back on. It is so cute.

Grandma

My mom came to visit for a week in August. It was a blast. Maddyn loved sleeping with grandma at night and then showing her all of her tricks during the day. We also enjoyed all of her help! We were in the process of moving into Grammy and Papa's house so we can take care of it while they are away. My mom packed all the boxes and helped me paint the girls cute new bathroom. We miss her very much and can't wait to see her in november.

4 months old!!!

Last month in April, Zoey turned 4 months. She is getting so big to us. She was 12 lbs and 23 inches. She is only in the 12 percentile, but she is sure growing to us. She is just starting to take a bottle. It was a huge step for her to take a bottle. She has also discovered her thumb and will suck on that thing to no end. Zoey goes by the nicknames Zoey bug, Zo bug, Zoey bugga, bug, bugga, and sweetie pie. She is the most amazing baby ever!!!! She sleeps 12 hours at night and has done that since she was 2 months old. She will take 3 huge naps during the day and hardly ever cries. If she cries I KNOW something is wrong. She is so patient with Maddyn who wants to help with everything. Maddyn is very concerned about Zoey's well being at all times and will have a heart attack if she thinks something is wrong with Zoey. Zoey can roll over from her back to her belly and is trying to sit up. She is also loving oatmeal. She swallowed it the first time she tried it. We love Zo bug and dont know what we would do without her!

Best decision Ever!!!

I cut Maddyn's hair. It has been a huge fight everyday to brush the tangles out of her hair. Then when she takes a nap it gets all tangled again. I have not wanted to cut it because she had such cute curls and I knew they would not be there if I cut it. But since I have cut it, I have been able to brush it in one minute without Maddyn screaming and running through the house yelling NOOOOOO. It has been the best decision ever to cut off that baby hair!

Blessing

We blessed Zoey in July. She was so cute and adorable. Candice my sister in law also took a bunch of darling pictures of the girls.

Another surgery

The day after we got back from Oregon I went in for another surgery. The doctor was not able to get out the placenta the first two times, so he had to go back in so I would stop bleeding. It was only a day surgery and I was able to go home afterward. The nurse had trouble finding a vein and totally ripped my arm up again. The surgery was successful and I feel MUCH better now. I think I am done with all of that for a while.

Oregon Trip

At the end of June, we packed up the whole family and drove to Oregon so we could introduce Zoey to the whole family. It took us 16 hours. We drove through the night and got there at 4:00 a.m. It was a great decision to do that because the girls slept most of the way. We had so much fun cleaning out our parents attic, playing with the ducks, swimming, and taking family pictures. Maddyn absolutely loved playing with cousin "cake".
