Second New house

So we finally got moved into our second new house. Maddyn loved exploring everything. The below videos are of her new favorite things to do in this house. I will be posting pictures soon of the house (that is if we dont have to move it two weeks again). We love being here. The house is just perfect for us.

In addition to moving, working, unpacking, studying for tests, and trying to find time to sleep, Maddyn decided it would be a good time to get RSV. It was so sad. The below pic is of her falling asleep on my lap while I was talking to my parents on the phone. She wouldcoughed so hard her lips would turn pruple then she couldn't stop crying. I felt so bad for her. The emergency room doc said there was nothing they could do for her because her oxygen level was high enough. So we are just waiting it out.

Our Week

I thought I would let everyone know what our week will be consisting of. Well it is true folks we are moving again. The house we moved into was for sale and hadn't been shown for like 4 months. We were sure we would be here a while. Well I should have thought a little better than that with my history of luck. They sold it not even one week after we moved in. We seriously unpacked our last box the day before. So there it is folks our week will be consisting of packing all our boxes up again, loading the truck up, and unpacking again. I have decided that I need to look at the positives in all my bad luck situations. The positives about this situation are:
  1. We are only moving two blocks north and will stay on the same street
  2. The house we are going into is not for sale!!!!
  3. The house we are going to doesn't have any stairs
  4. We didn't move all of our big furniture into this current house because they wanted to keep it staged with all their stuff
  5. We get to use all of our big furniture items like our bed, dressers, dining room table and decorations.
  6. The new house has a two car garage
  7. The new house has central heat and central air
  8. We get some more great exercise by packing!!! ( I could really use that)
  9. The new house has a master bathroom
  10. Our friends Ty and Laici are only a dirt field walk away now

So don't feel sad for us folks, there are many positives. However if you want we are having a moving party Monday the 16th in celebration for the holiday I have no idea the name of. See you there if your in the area!!!

KATE ASHLYN

Kate Ashlyn is here!!! My older brother Matt and his wife Jen had their little girl on Monday February 2 at around 4:30 pm. She began the journey at 8 am on Sunday and it ended with a C-section. Kate was born at 7 lbs 8 ounces and 19 inches long. They say she is a great baby and hardly cries. I am so excited and happy for them. This is the second grandchild on my side of the family and we can't wait to see her.

Stairs

So Maddyn learned to climb up the stairs and down the stairs in one week of being here. She is also eating a ton every day. She will eat a whole banana in one sitting. She takes bites by herself and will eat as much as you put in front of her.

New House

So it is official. We moved out of Trevor's parents house. We moved a whole 2 blocks away. Some very nice people are letting us stay in their house until they sell it. Maddyn loves exploring our new surroundings. Below are a couple of videos that are cute. I had pictures, but somehow I pressed the delete button and they all disappeared. Sad huh.

Nothing much else is going on here. Trevor went to Arizona for the week for a school training. Maddyn and I have been all alone. It is very quiet here because we dont have cable yet. So we just have been unpacking and catching up on work stuff. Maddyn is having some difficulty sleeping now that she has a room with a window, but I think she will get used to it. We can't wait for daddy to come back home we miss him.

Long Weekend

So for the long weekend Trevor and I went to provo so I could take one of my three licensure exams on Sunday. About 20 minutes away from home I realized I forgot the camera so I only have one picture of the trip. We started out on Friday staying with my friend Dawn. She was so nice to let us stay there and Maddyn loved being around Ramsey. Maddyn climbed up her stairs multiple times, but of course we do not have that on camera maybe we will get her to do it again.

On Saturday we did our "stock up on everything you need" shopping and I went out with my friends that night for dinner. Trevor had the privilege of staying home to watch Ramsey and Maddyn. Trevor said that was quite the experience. If anyone who is reading this knows Rams I am sure you know what kind of night he had. Trevor said that as soon as Dawn and I left, Ramsey went to the fridge and said "I and going to throw all the food away I don't like so my mom won't try to make me eat it anymore." Then he said the rest of the night consisted of watching Ramsey do her dances. Actually it was just one dance, but she had to make sure she had the right outfit on for the dance so she did it 6 different times each with a different type of show or skirt. Then when we arrived, he was playing a board game with her. I just have to note that I have only played like 5 board games with Trevor since i have known him because he HATES games. Therefore, you know how much he cares for Rams when he played a game with her :)

On Sunday I took my four hour 200 multiple choice test. It was as scary as it sounds. I find out in 6 to 8 weeks if I passed. Then we stayed with Trevor's Grandma and that was nice to see her.

On Monday we met up with the rest of the Olsen clan and had a family picture done with all of us. The only one I got was of our little family. I will post the other one when it arrives. Thanks aunty Candice for getting us all together. The weekend was fast but we got to spend time with a lot of people we love so it was worth it.

Still learning!!!

So I came home from work one night and Trevor said that he had learned to talk in Peanut Language. So he made an aweful dolphin noise and she responded with the same aweful noise. You can see in the video. My favorite part is at the end when Trevor doesn't do it right and she looks at him like he is crazy and doesn't know what he is talking about. The second video is of her playing the piano. If the door to the front room is ever left open she immediatly goes in there and I always know because she goes straight for the piano.

Maddyn is learning more new things. Here are some videos of her showing off.

Pictures

I keep forgetting to put these pictures up. These are of Maddyn with her two cute cousins. We took them over Thanksgiving break and Maddyn already looks so different. She has a ton more hair now. You can't tell in recent pictures because her head is the same color as her hair.

How to Catch a Fly

Watch closely in the video and you can see Maddyn actually catch the fly a couple of times. I think he went to die a slow death after he got away. P.S. We washed her hands really good after that.

10 Months Old

I can't believe she is already 10 months old!!! It seems like just yesterday I was complaining about laying on my side all day with nothing to do and now I am laying on my back at night complaining I got nothing done. It is way worth it though. She is so funny and cracks me up more and more each day. I am convinced sometimes she is a baby genius and is just holding out on us. She sometimes she will answer our questions and then start laughing like she knows exactly what is going on. We just look at eachother and say "did she just say that?" She can't hide it long we are catching on.

Her days consist of waking up at 7:30 am if we are lucky, eating while holding her own bottle and then making a big stinky diaper. The rest of the day is spent crawling as fast as she can around the house to get things in her mouth before we can notice. She takes two naps pretty regularyly for 2 hours each and needs to go to bed at 8:00 sharp or she is a mess. She also sleeps through the night and has done so for a long time.

Some of her favorite things are playing the drums like mom on Guitar Hero, dancing to her duck, and trying to find all the outlets in the house. She also loves to laugh at the tv when she hears them laughing, pull the DVD's off the shelf, and play with puppies and cats (no we will not be getting one!!!).

She is such a people person. She will give her cheeser smile to anyone who will look. Anywhere outside of Utah, we get stopped every 5 minutes at the store because she has got someones attention then we have to stop and talk to the people so they can tell us how cute she is. She isn't scared of people and will go to anyone as long as she knows her mom and dad will be there if she needs them.

We just love having her around and can't believe it has gone so fast.

More Tricks!!!

Maddyn has addedd a few more things to her list of "Look at what I can do". First off, Papa brought out this duck taht sings the chicken song. She loves this thing. I think she loves it more than us. This thing gets more hugs then we do. Everytime she sees this thing she starts to do this butt dance. You can see it in the video below. She even started dancing to it when I was watching it to put it on the blog. Her butt dance and the chimi are her best dance moves. Today in church when the piano started she began to do the butt dance. It is so funny.
She also has seen me play Guitar Hero too much. I am always the drummer and Trevor is always the guitarist. You can see how much we play it by how good she is in the video at drumming.

First Christmas

So our Christmas was jam packed full of great fun with both families. It all started on Christmas eve when we went to go look at Christmas lights. We couldn't decide which hat for Maddyn to wear, but we went with the blue one.

Then we were off to look at the lights. There were so many cool lights ever for Blanding. Bet you never would have thought you would see a video like the one below here in our little town. It was great fun.

Then we had to go back to the house to leave a note for Santa. Luckily Avery and Trevor took care of that. You can see which note they wrote and then the note that followed from Santa the next morning. The note from the boys said Dear Santa, we spent our day preparing this meel for you so you. We know that you will eat all of it. I no that you get a lot of cookies so we thot to make you sum reel food. Hop you like breakfast burrito. Mary christmas. The note from Santa says. Nice try you naughty little boys. I found enough of my own food on the counter. Thanks and Merry Christmas, Santa.

The next morning was so exciting for Niki. She woke up at 7:30 and no one was awake. not even peanut. At 8:30 we decided to go in and wake her up. This is how we found her. we have to sing to her to get her awake. Peanut had tons of fun opening presents. However, she did not like how she would open one toy and just when she got into it we would take it away to open another. If you want to see more pictures of our Christmas fun visit www.dropshots.com/trevorandniki It takes me forever to download pictures to this blog.

After we opened presents we went outside to play in the 8 new inches of snow we got that morning. We had a total of 16 inches in the back yard. Peanut had fun watching us from the window and cheering us on. We played the rest of the day with the Wii that Niki got for Christmas and then packed up for our 14 hour trek to California to see Niki's family.

For the most part Peanut did ok on the trip we had to stop a couple times to have her stretch. One of those times when we were stopped, Trevor opened the back door and as soon as Maddyn saw him she smiled and said Dada. We are so counting it as her first word!!! It was so cute.

When we made it there, we had Christmas with them and spent the rest of the time playing the Wii and mastering Guitar Hero World Tour. We have the greatest band ever. Maddyn got a walking toy and is getting really good at it. You can't tell by the video but she practiced a lot after that. We made it home safe with another 14 hour trip. Trevor is off until January 5th so I am sure we will have more exciting times to come. Stay close to our blog to find out what we did the rest of xmas break.

Learning New Things

Maddyn continues to learn new things everyday. Some are great and really help out and others take more time out of our day. However, we love every minute of it. As you can see by the pictures below, She learned to take all of the DVD's out of the shelf and put them on the ground. She also learned to hold her bottle by herself. She is also getting funnier by the minute.
