House Changes

I took these pictures of Maddyn because she loves her picture taken. She learned how to ride her scooter the right way and wants to go outside to ride all day long. It has been too cold, but she doesn't care. We also have moved our house around to make room for the baby. We moved the computer out in the living room and filled up the armour with all of my work stuff. Maddyn has left the computer alone so far and I seem to work on things more when it is out here. We also had to get a TV stand because we were using the bottom of the armour for our tv stand. Then when we got the stand, we saw this ottoman that opens up with lots of room. It is perfect for a toy box that also functions as furniture. It really seems to help with Trevor's OCD and Maddyn understanding that her toys need to be cleaned up!

It is spring!!!

The weather has been so nice. we only have snow left on the side of our house. I can't believe the 8 foot tower of snow in front of our house is gone. I took these pictures today of Maddyn after church. She is getting so big and learning so much. She is also learning to test her boundaries ahhh not good for high blood pressure. We got her some baby stuff for her minnie doll for her birthday. She just started carrying minnie around in that car seat thing all day long. She tried to take it to nursery today, but we wouldn't let her. As soon as we got out of church she ran home to see minnie. I can't believe how much she loves minnie. We found minnie mouse pajamas at walmart yesterday and she didn't want to take them off today for church. So cute.

Aquarium

We went up to Salt Lake for Trevor's spring break. We had to get a bunch of stuff for the baby that is quickly coming. Maddyn was so good, we had to take her some where she would enjoy. She loved the Living Planet Aquarium. She look at all the fish and even tried to pet the sting ray.

Baby #2 update

My mom informed me the other day that she did not know much about the new baby because we always talk about Maddyn. I then realized that I dont think I have posted about this baby since we found out she is a girl. I am now 32 weeks a long with 55 days to go!!! I am already bigger in my belly now then I was with Maddyn when I gave birth. I have a lot of amniotic fluid with this baby so that is not a concern. She is moving constantly which is a change, because Maddyn never moved. I think I am ready and have everything we need except a few items I can't find like burp cloths and sock. I dont know what I did with those. I am feeling well except I am developing slight high blood pressure so I need to take it easy. Apparently, my feet dont swell up my eyes and eye lids do. My face is huge from the swelling and some days one eye is hard to open. Hopefully with some rest I can get this under control. Other than that, the baby is measuring exactly on track. On Tuesday she was just about 4 pounds and and had a fabulous Non Stress Test. So we are happy about that. Her due date is still May 5. Maddyn likes to see the baby by pulling my shirt up and tickling her or givng her kisses. When I tell her that her sister is kicking her, she puts her foot up to my belly like she is threatening her. It is so funny. She will be a great big sister!!! We can't wait to meet this little girl, but are not looking forward to the sleepless nights ahead.

Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

Maddyn had a wonderful 2nd birthday. This is the first time she has understood what presents were and was excited about them. We had a Minnie Mouse themed party because that is her absolute favorite. We had Pizza for dinner because that is her favorite food. She got a piano from Grammy and Papa, a scooter, cute clothes, and money from Grandpa and Grandma, some baby items and a farm from mom and dad, and a very cute dress from Avery and Jessica. She had a blast!

I can not believe that she is already 2 and will have another sister here soon. She is so smart. She will repeat any word you tell her to except the work "grammy". We have no idea why she wont say that. She is always on the go and wants you to "come here" all day long. She still loves her Minne and will not sleep with out it. She is a great help around the house. She loves to be given things to put away and will put them in the right spot. She loves cleaning the lint trap from the dryer. Maddyn is such a joy in our life and makes up laugh everyday.

Sneeeeew

The snow has finally stopped. In untouched spots there is over 4 feet of snow. We got hit with snow all week. Trevor was shoveling snow just to go out hours later and shovel 6 more inches. School was canceled on Thursday and Friday. We have had a great 4 day weekend shoveling snow. Maddyn calls the snow "Snneeeew". It is so cute. She loved playing outside. We could not get her to come in. When she finally did, she would cry for a half hour while her hands and feet warmed up and hurt.

Trevor's parents have a bunch of chickens down a little ways from their house. This is the beginning of the trail they had to dig to get to them. It was waist deep most of the way.
This is Maddyn and Trevor almost ready to go into the Chicken Coupe.
This is the entrance to the coupe. You can tell how much snow there is here. All the chickens survived!!!

This is our side fence that is 4 feet tall. Trevor was able to walk right up to it.

Maddyn wanted to help with every bit of the work.

Even plowing the snow with a four wheeler.

This is the front of our house. We almost can't see out our windows.

Trevor trying to get back to our satellite so that we can watch TV. It is up to his waist. Some of the trees that are small are completely covered.

What we have been up to

Well it is a snow day today and I finally get a chance to sit down and blog. We are getting DUMPED on. I will post pictures later when it stops snowing. The last two days we have woke up with 8 inches each morning. This morning we woke up and it was a blizzard and it has not stopped.

Maddyn has been learning so much lately. She found my therapy blocks and decided to prove to me why I became a therapist. As you can see in the pictures, there are holes in the top of the container. Well she decided she wanted to try to put the shapes through the correct holes. However, she does not know shapes and would try to shove the square through the circle. When she would do this and it would not work, she would clinch her fists and teeth, hold her breath and scream. I thought her eyeballs were going to pop out of her head. I had to teach her how to do deep breathing techniques so she wouldn't get so mad. After that every time she got mad we had to say "Maddyn just breath". I can't believe I had to teach my 22 month old anger management.

This is also what we do every waking moment of the day, Sing If Your Happy and You Know it!!! My mom got her this book and she LOVES it. We can't just sing the song, we have to have the book there also. I am working on getting the video up also.

Maddyn is also loving taking pictures of herself. She calls the camera a Cheese. I think she looks like a little girl in this picture. She also insists on wearing a necklace if mom is.

This is a picture of me at 24 weeks. I am getting close to the third trimester. I feel good, but I have had a horrible cough for 2 months. The doctor finally gave me an inhaler. Maddyn wants to crawl all over my belly and have me carry her everywhere.

Christmas

This year was so fun with a little one. We took so many videos. If you want to see how funny Maddyn was check out all of our videos at www.dropshots.com/trevorandniki . We started out the morning by having to wake Maddyn up. Trevor and I were up the night before until 11:00 p.m. putting together her toys. We came up with the idea to wrap her presents so they were ready to be played with when they came out of the wrapping. Lucky for us we did this; she had one present from a friend that was in the box and she freaked out. She ran to get the hammer to get the toy out of the box quicker (see the video on dropshots). When she came out she first saw her car that santa had brought. Every toy opened there after had to be placed in the trunk of the car. If the toy did not fit, then she would freak out (see video on dropshots als0). Maddyn has not stopped playing with this car since. She gets so mad if we move it out of the living room to clean. Opening presents took us 2 hours. Maddyn wanted to play with each toy before she opened the next. We stopped to eat snacks a few times also. Maddyn made out with some fantastic presents that she loves: magnadoodle, princess shoes and purse, rocking horse, little cars, money, a huge minnie, and a shopping cart. I can't wait for next christmas when she understands that there is a Santa!

It's a Hamburger!!!

We found out that our new little baby is a girl. The ultrasound tech told us that he will either find a turtle or a hamburger. He said it was a hamburger. I am just excited that everything looked good and we have a healthy baby. Trevor thinks we have a name picked out, but I want to keep our options open.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We were so excited this morning when we saw the snow sticking to the ground. By the time Trevor got home from work there was about 4 inches. Maddyn was a little scared to play in it at first but loved throwing snow balls after a while. We even built a snowman !!! It doesnt have a face or arms yet but we will get there tomorrow.

Thanksgiving.

What an adventure Thanksgiving was. My parents came from Oregon to meet us in Salt Lake City. We rented a house so that we could make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Marcus came with his girlfriend Tamera. They announced to us the first night at dinner that they are engaged and will be getting married in Hawaii. We are very pumped about the venue!!! Maddyn absolutely loved hanging out with these two...they had enough energy for her.

The next day we had Trevors parents, Grandma, and Sister's family over for Thanksgiving dinner. My mom did most of the work and it was a fabulous dinner. Maddyn enjoyed playing with her cousins and we enjoyed the company.

On Black Friday, we didn't do much shopping. My mom and I went to Toys R Us early and got the things we needed for Maddyn. Later in the day we went to the mall and Maddyn got to see Santa. She was really excited until she realized she had to sit on his lap without me. That is when she cried and wanted to get off. Tamera and I really wanted to see New Moon so our guys were really nice and went with us. Trevor said there was a lot of staring at each other in the movie.

On Saturday we spent most of the morning trying to save Maddyn from the car. She was helping Trevor clean the car when she locked herself in. Trevor was trying to warm up the car also so it was running. We tried for a half hour to get her to push the unlock button, but all she wanted to do was dance to the music and push every other button in the car. Finally, we called the police and they came along with the fire engine with their lights on. They were able to open the car with a wedge, blood pressure cuff, and a stick. They were our hero's. The rest of the day we just hung out. That night we went to temple square to look at the lights. It was really pretty and my families first time to temple square. It was a great vacation and we enjoyed our family.
