Any ideas?

Help!!!
Maddyn is refusing to drink out of a sippy cup. I have even put her botttle nipple on a sippy cup and she refuses to drink it. She went four hours yesterday hitting the sippy cup around because she refused to drink it. I dont want my 6 year old daughter to go to first grade with a bottle of milk...how embarrasing.

ANY IDEAS????

Brooke did the same thing. We eventually found that she would drink juice or water from a sippy cup, but not milk. We let her get used to drinking other liquids in the sippy cup for a while, and then eventually after much fighting, wailing and gnashing of the teeth on her part, we were able to get her to drink milk from it.
I think Brooke protested milk in it because milk in a bottle was comforting and relaxing to take. It was a security thing for her. Maybe it's the same for Maddyn?

Try a straw? A regular cup? A sippy cup that has a lid but no little holes on top?
Sippy cups aren't necessary, just a convenience thing for you.

I agree with trying juice in it. That's how I trick my kids into using it.
