New Look?

So I have been trying to decide for the past 6 month whether I should cut my hair or not. I have been growing it out now for three years and this is all the farther I have got. I do like my long hair because I can do lots of things with it including wear it in a pony tail when I am lazy. However, I do love the new short hairstyles that are out and want a new look. I am also feeling like I need a change. It takes me close to 30 minutes to wear my hair in the below pic due to blow drying and straightening. I just dont know if coloring it will be a big enough change for me this time. I think if I cut it short like almost to my chin I would have enough to donate to Lock of Love, which I really want to do. I put a few pics at the bottom to show what type of cut I would get if I did cut it. I would like to cut it like thee first two at the bottom, and color it like the last two. Leave me some comments and let me know what you guys think I should do????

I like the color of the one below and the one in the middle on the last one.

Trip to Cali

So for Trevor's first spring break as a school counselor we went to California to visit my brother and his wife. They just had a cute little baby girl Kate. We had so much fun. It was 80 degrees and fabulous the whole time we were there.





The trip is a total of 9 hours driving and that doesn't include stops. We left at 5:00 am on Monday and made it to Flagstaff before Maddyn woke up. She did soooo great on the trip that we rewarded her with her very own red sucker. I know what you are all thinking and it is exactly what you are thinking too. It was a mess.

When we got there, Maddyn loved Kate. Maddyn learned to blow kisses on the way and she blew Kate kisses the whole time we were there. We decided to go the park since it was so nice. Maddyn loved everything except the swings.

Then we went to Mission Beach by Sea World. It was a great day. Maddyn loved playing in the sand and talking to the seagulls. Apparently she speaks seagull. Matt and Trevor braved the water while Jen and I tended the babies.

Then Matt's very nice neighbor let us hang out at their pool and get some sun on our white Utah legs. Their heater on the pool was broke so it was too cold for Maddyn to get it. But she loved playing in the waterfall that goes into the pools.

Matt and Jen also got Maddyn a pink power wheels four wheeler for her birthday. She is seriously going to learn to drive before she can walk.

Thanks Matt, Jen and Kate for entertaining us for the week. We had a blast.

Happy 1st Birthday

So its official, my little girl is 1. I can't believe how fast it went. The day was pretty uneventful. The first pictures are of her eating her birthday breakfast french toast (that is mom's favorite). I made her a minnie mouse cake because she can't go to sleep without her minnie doll and I thought she might recognize her. This was my first attempt at EVER decorating a cake (so don't laugh too hard). She got lots of very nice presents. Fun Weekend events

Last Saturday we decided to go down south and four wheel. Maddyn had a blast. It was so nice outside. We took tons of pictures. So here they are.

Any ideas?

Help!!!
Maddyn is refusing to drink out of a sippy cup. I have even put her botttle nipple on a sippy cup and she refuses to drink it. She went four hours yesterday hitting the sippy cup around because she refused to drink it. I dont want my 6 year old daughter to go to first grade with a bottle of milk...how embarrasing.

ANY IDEAS????

Second New house

So we finally got moved into our second new house. Maddyn loved exploring everything. The below videos are of her new favorite things to do in this house. I will be posting pictures soon of the house (that is if we dont have to move it two weeks again). We love being here. The house is just perfect for us.

In addition to moving, working, unpacking, studying for tests, and trying to find time to sleep, Maddyn decided it would be a good time to get RSV. It was so sad. The below pic is of her falling asleep on my lap while I was talking to my parents on the phone. She wouldcoughed so hard her lips would turn pruple then she couldn't stop crying. I felt so bad for her. The emergency room doc said there was nothing they could do for her because her oxygen level was high enough. So we are just waiting it out.

Our Week

I thought I would let everyone know what our week will be consisting of. Well it is true folks we are moving again. The house we moved into was for sale and hadn't been shown for like 4 months. We were sure we would be here a while. Well I should have thought a little better than that with my history of luck. They sold it not even one week after we moved in. We seriously unpacked our last box the day before. So there it is folks our week will be consisting of packing all our boxes up again, loading the truck up, and unpacking again. I have decided that I need to look at the positives in all my bad luck situations. The positives about this situation are:

1. We are only moving two blocks north and will stay on the same street
2. The house we are going into is not for sale!!!!
3. The house we are going to doesn't have any stairs
4. We didn't move all of our big furniture into this current house because they wanted to keep it staged with all their stuff
5. We get to use all of our big furniture items like our bed, dressers, dining room table and decorations.
6. The new house has a two car garage
7. The new house has central heat and central air
8. We get some more great exercise by packing!!! ( I could really use that)
9. The new house has a master bathroom
10. Our friends Ty and Laici are only a dirt field walk away now

So don't feel sad for us folks, there are many positives. However if you want we are having a moving party Monday the 16th in celebration for the holiday I have no idea the name of. See you there if your in the area!!!

KATE ASHLYN

Kate Ashlyn is here!!! My older brother Matt and his wife Jen had their little girl on Monday February 2 at around 4:30 pm. She began the journey at 8 am on Sunday and it ended with a C-section. Kate was born at 7 lbs 8 ounces and 19 inches long. They say she is a great baby and hardly cries. I am so excited and happy for them. This is the second grandchild on my side of the family and we can't wait to see her.

Stairs

So Maddyn learned to climb up the stairs and down the stairs in one week of being here. She is also eating a ton every day. She will eat a whole banana in one sitting. She takes bites by herself and will eat as much as you put in front of her.
